Piano piano, qui si ricostruisce una storia. Soprattutto sulla base di belle immagini di bambini, che negli 1980 non erano ancora sottoposte alle restrizioni di oggi. Forse allora si pensava ingenuamente che condividere le cose belle fosse più normale e salutare per il mondo e per le persone, l'amicizia, la pace, che non nasconderle per proteggere i minori da ogni sorta di pericoli, con il rischio di educarli però alla diffidenza e alla paura.
I bambini di quelle prime documentazioni ormai hanno comunque 50 anni e, in ogni caso, immagino ci sia la prescrizione! E ovviamente, per le foto e i video più recenti, come da legge, sono state richieste le autorizzazioni.

Little by little, a story is reconstructed here. Especially based on beautiful images of children, which in the 1980s were not yet subject to today's restrictions.
Perhaps then we naively thought that sharing beautiful things was more normal and healthy for the world and for people, friendship, peace, than hiding them to protect minors from all sorts of dangers, with the risk, however, of educating them to distrust and fear.
The children in those first documents are now 50 years old and, in any case, I imagine there is a prescription! And of course, for the most recent photos and videos, as per the law, permissions have been requested.

Bambini insieme si esprimono usando il loro corpo, esplorano gli ambienti naturali e umani, cercano i piccoli animali e i segni delle civiltà passate e presenti, utilizzano la tecnologia per estendere i sensi e condividere conoscenza, raccontano storie con linguaggi diversi, la parola, il gesto, l'audiovisivo, giocano nel mondo reale e in quello virtuale, mostrando agli adulti increduli che un equilibrio e un'armonia sono possibili.
Ripercorrendo le esperienze e i laboratori con i bambini e i ragazzi nel corso di decenni, vedo cose belle, importanti, da cui ho imparato moltissimo. Qualcosa sono riuscito a mettere nei libri e nei video, qualcosa cerco di recuperare ancora, digitalizzando vecchi materiali, perché penso che sia bello e sano, nel definire il nostro rapporto con in mondo, basarsi sulle cose reali che si fanno e si vivono, sulle opere vere che si realizzano, piuttosto che sul mercato degli strumenti con cui potremmo fare, come si usa oggi, che però di solito passano velocemente, e alla fine succede che continuiamo ad "aggiornarci", ma di concreto combiniamo molto poco.
Dei bambini, si usa indicare e curare i problemi, ma poco si osserva il modo meraviglioso che loro stessi, come gruppo, spesso ci indicano per risolverli. Eppure le testimonianze ci sono, e i mezzi per raccoglierle, potentissimi e facili, sono in buona parte utilizzabili in prima persona dai bambini stessi che, non lasciati in balia del mercato, ci possono mostrare anche un modo diverso e positivo di usarli. Per la prima volta nella storia, dei bambini possiamo sapere non solo quello che ci raccontano gli educatori, gli psicologi, gli scienziati, ma anche quello che, come gruppo, ci raccontano i bambini stessi. E una sfida di questo presente difficile è imparare finalmente ad ascoltarli.

Ripensare esperienza e lavoro sulla base della documentazione prodotta può essere una bella avventura. Rende il senso del valore di quello che si è fatto, indica strade praticabili per il futuro a partire da se stessi, piuttosto che dalla rincorsa affannosa delle "novità" proposte da un mercato anche culturale ossessivamente indirizzato al consumo di un presente che quando arriviamo quasi a comprenderlo, anche con la relativa certificazione di competenze, spesso è già passato, in un circolo vizioso senza fine.
Più difficile è trasmettere l'esperienza agli altri, con gli scritti, i video, i multimediali. A parte che sono distratti dalla molteplicità di stimoli e proposte, molti non leggono, non guardano, e soprattutto non sono interessati al confronto reciproco. Però realizzare opere più o meno finite, può essere il primo passo per incontrare chi magari sente lo stesso di bisogno di comunicare, magari di collaborare, oltre l'ideologia della competizione ereditata da modelli di produzione e consumo obsoleti e ormai insostenibili per il pianeta.

In questa mia tarda età, da pensionato che ancora però si misura sul campo con progetti, corsi, laboratori, ma senza l'ansia di chi deve costruirsi un futuro, personalmente trovo utile e salutare raccogliere e mettere ordine nei documenti del passato.
Oltre alla sintesi fotografica dei vari anni, in questa mia "storia" metto link a documenti di vario tipo (video, scritti e altro), dove qualche opera esiste per raccontare meglio. E altre opere intanto intendo rimettere insieme e rendere disponibili, digitalizzando altri video e ricostruendo per esempio alcune vecchie storie di diapositive e audio degli anni 80. Oggi una tecnologia meravigliosa ci consente di selezionare il meglio lunga la nostra strada e raccontarlo, pubblicarlo anche per conto nostro, con una buona qualità, perché possa essere a disposizione di tutti. Un potenziale giro di comunicazione circolare e virtuosa in cui ognuno teoricamente si può confrontare con il meglio...

Children together express themselves using their bodies, explore natural and human environments, search for small animals and signs of past and present civilizations, use technology to extend the senses and share knowledge, tell stories with different languages, words, gestures, the audiovisual, they play in the real and virtual world, showing incredulous adults that balance and harmony are possible.
Retracing the experiences and workshops with children and young people over decades, I see beautiful, important things, from which I have learned a lot. I managed to put something in books and videos, I try to recover something further, digitizing old materials, because I think it is beautiful and healthy, in defining our relationship with the world, to base ourselves on the real things that are done and experienced, on the real works that are created, rather than on the market of the tools with which we could do, as is used today, which however usually pass quickly, and in the end it happens that we continue to "update ourselves", but we do very little in fact.
Of children, we use to indicate and treat problems, but little we observe in the wonderful way that they themselves, as a group, often indicate to us to solve them. Yet the testimonies are there, and the means to collect them, very powerful and easy, can largely be used personally by the children themselves who, not left at the mercy of the market, can also show us a different and positive way of using them. For the first time in history, we can know about children not only what educators, psychologists, scientists tell us, but also what, as a group, children themselves tell us. And a challenge of this difficult present is to finally learn to listen to them.

Rethinking experience and work basing on the documentation produced can be a great adventure. It gives a sense of the value of what we have done, indicates practicable paths for the future starting from oureselves, rather than from the frantic pursuit of the "news" proposed by a cultural market that is obsessively aimed at consuming a present which when we arrive almost to understand it, even with the relevant certification of skills, it has often already passed, in an endless vicious circle.
It is more difficult to convey the experience to others, with writings, videos and multimedia. Apart from the fact that they are distracted by the multiplicity of stimuli and proposals, many do not read, do not look, and above all are not interested in mutual comparison. However, creating more or less finished works can be the first step towards meeting those who perhaps feel the same need to communicate, perhaps collaborate, beyond the ideology of competition inherited from obsolete production and consumption models, now unsustainable for the planet.

In this late age of mine, as a pensioner who still deals with projects, courses and workshops in the field, but without the anxiety of those who have to build a future, I personally find it useful and healthy to collect and put order in the documents of the past.
In addition to the photographic synthesis of the various years, in this "story" of mine I link to various types of documents (videos, writings and more), where some works exist to tell better stories. And in the meantime I intend to put other works back together and make available, digitizing other videos and reconstructing for example some old stories of slides and audio from the 80s.
Today a wonderful technology allows us to select the best along our path and tell it, publish it on our own, with good quality, so that it can be available to everyone. A potential round of circular, virtuous communication where everyone can theoretically cross-check themselves to the best...
